Duncan Tappy spent two days in World Series by Renault cars with two different teams as part of the next step in his racing career. He is looking to make the move to the international series and tested with Red Devil Team Comtec on Wednesday and Fortec Motorsport today.

In Race One he went from second on the grid to win after his pole sitting team-mate had a problem at the start, while in the second race the start went against Duncan but he won the first lap battle and led to the end. The points put him back at the top of the championship table with six races remaining.

Duncan had another challenging weekend at the mid-point of the 2007 Formula Renault UK Championship. Mixed weather conditions didn’t help, but a bad start in Race One negated the front-row qualifying slot that Duncan had secured. He more than made up for it with an amazing start for Race Two, which propelled him up the order, ultimately finishing second in the race and in the championship battle.
