Duncan Tappy now officially a Superstar

Duncan has been announced as one of the British Racing Drivers’ Club’s Superstars – one of 14 drivers identified for the scheme which is set to further the careers of young drivers within the Club.

The initiative was launched last week at Silverstone with Superstars director Tim Harvey and Club President and former F1 Champion Damon Hill.

Essentially chosen from within the Club’s successful and continuing Rising Stars Scheme, the BRDC Superstars will pave the way for a new breed of racing champions all benefiting from the vast experience the BRDC and its Members has to offer.

Duncan has recently returned from Mexico where he made his debut for his country driving the A1GP car for A1 Team Great Britain. Last season he won the Formula Renault ULK Championship in style and is still working on plans for a regular drive this season.

Tim Harvey, BRDC Superstars director and former British Touring Car champion, said: “Duncan was picked out for his outstanding ability and winning pedigree so far. We feel he’s someone who can progress and want to help him with that. We will try and assist him in every way possible.”

Duncan Tappy added: “To have so much support from the industry is a great endorsement. I always try to do my best and getting the vote of confidence from the BRDC has given my confidence a big boost. I’m still working on funding for my drive this year so hopefully this will help. It’s a great honour and invaluable to be able to chat to people like Damon and Tim for advice.”
