Having been selected as one of six nominees for the Autosport Young Driver of the Year Award, Duncan attended the Awards Dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane, London on Sunday evening.

Duncan Tappy, perhaps the country’s hottest young motor racing talent, will get his first-ever run in a Formula Renault UK car during a special test session at Snetterton Circuit in Norfolk next week with reigning champions Manor Motorsport.

Today Duncan received the fantastic news that he has been selected as one of the six finalists for the McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year Award.
1 Mar 2006: Duncan takes Formula Ford Festival in style
Today at Brands Hatch Duncan took the next step to becoming one of Britain’s Grand Prix prospects by clinching the prestigious Formula Ford Festival, the previous winners of which have included a host of current and former F1 stars.
1 Mar 2006: Two more wins to clinch championship runner-up spot
Duncan took his eight and ninth wins of the season at Silverstone today to clinch second place in the UK Formula Ford Championship. A dominant performance in qualifying saw him take pole position for both races and, apart from a brief spot in second place in this morning’s first race, led every lap to take victory twice.

With four races left of the championship and five consecutive wins behind him, Duncan was on a charge. Again he took full house with two pole positions and two wins.
1 Mar 2006: Clean sweep promotes Duncan to championship second
Silverstone saw Duncan have his best weekend yet by taking both pole positions, both fastest race laps and both race wins. The results move him up to second in the UK Formula Ford Championship. He was on a roll after winning the previous three races, bringing his tally of success to five out of five.

Duncan was delighted to take the top step of the podium twice today. It was his third attempt at a win that finally met with his approval this weekend at Brands Hatch after his previous Castle Combe wins were not all that he had hoped for – the first being disallowed and the second following rival Joe D’Agostino’s retirement.
1 Mar 2006: Victory is my best birthday present
Duncan got his dream 21st birthday present this weekend at Castle Combe, Wiltshire, with his first Formula Ford win, but he didn’t have as smooth a run as he would have liked to obtain his victory in his 1800cc Mygale.
